AdventHealth Orlando seeks to hire Echo Tech, Lead who will embrace our mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ.
Located on a lush tropical campus, our flagship hospital, 1,107-bed AdventHealth Orlando, serves as the major tertiary facility for much of the Southeast, the Caribbean and South America. AdventHealth Orlando houses one of the largest Emergency Departments and largest cardiac catheterization labs in the country. We are already one of the busiest hospitals in the nation, providing service excellence to more than 32,000 inpatients and 125,000 outpatients each year.
Cardiovascular Institute (houses 8 unique units) A hallmark of this campus is the AdventHealth Cardiovascular Institute, which has set the standard for the early detection and treatment of cardiovascular diseases and disorders since 1967. Our cardiology team treats more than 25,000 individuals for chest pain and performs more than 1,700 cardiac procedures each year. We are third in the country, and first in the state for the number of open-heart surgeries performed. The critical care team also handles other specialized procedures, such as valve repair/replacement, heart remodeling, ascending and descending aortic aneurysms, and arterial fibrillation ablations..

The Lead Technologist performs at a technical level a variety of cardiovascular procedures to provide an efficient, comfortable, and safe examination of all patients. Utilizes independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. The Lead utilizes proficiency in all aspects of his/her designated procedural area in preparation, assessment, documentation, and monitoring consistent with the policies and procedures of the Cardiovascular Department and Hospital administration. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures. Teaches and directs the work of other staff and students as required. Participates in the Florida Hospital performance improvement program. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. A four-week notice is required for resignation/transfer, as well as any change in employment status resulting in decreased hours worked. Takes call after hours as designated.

Assists with smooth patient flow by assuring timely room turn over and prep. Effectively communicates with staff, physicians and department management.
Exhibits desire to learn and upgrade clinical and leadership skills. Seeks education opportunities, and coaches staff towards professional growth. Maintains familiarity with new procedures. Teaches and directs the work of other staff and students as required.
Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure the smooth operation of the department or unit. Maintains and promotes a positive attitude; self motivation; mutual respect toward patients, physicians, and fellow team members; ability to lead as part of a team; possesses or obtains an advanced skill set while keeping current with emerging trends, educates, and shares knowledge with team members within the department to increase independence.
Supports and assists with data collection for process improvement while understanding the department performance trends and established standards. Contributes and encourages others to contribute toward process improvement by serving on PI teams as assigned. Participates in department Gallup and patient satisfaction initiatives.
Utilizes knowledge of the levels of growth, development and skills for all patients that enter department.
