DIRECTOR OF PHARMACY HARDIN MEDICAL CENTER SAVANNAH, TN
Hours: The pharmacy is open Weekdays 7:30am-8pm; Saturday 8am-2pm & Sunday 1pm-4pm.
The Director will typically work weekday business hours but may be required to work and/or take call in the evenings and weekends as needed.
Description:As a Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) Director of Pharmacy at Hardin Medical Center, you will oversee all pharmacy operations including planning, organizing, controlling, and supervising activities, according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and state and federal laws. You will recommend innovations in the practice and function of the pharmacy to hospital administration and carry out mutually agreed upon programs. In this role you will spend around 30% as a staffing Pharmacist and around 70% completing administrative duties.
Facility: Hardin Medical Center (HMC) has served the community since 1952. This 49 bed hospital offers Radiology, Laboratory, Cardiology Services, Comprehensive Wound Care Services, Respiratory Therapy, and a 24 Hour, Physician Staffed Emergency Department. Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapies are also available, as well as a modern Obstetrics Floor featuring three Labor Delivery Recovery (LDRs) rooms.
Pharmacy: The pharmacy provides pharmacy services for acute care, chemotherapy, nursing home and employee prescriptions. Pharmacy systems include MedHost for CPOE and eMar; HBS, Pyxis Pyxis Anesthesia and C2Safe.
TN pharmacist license in good standing or ability to obtain licensure
5 years pharmacist experience in a hospital setting
Minimum 3 years hospital pharmacy management experience
340B experience a plus
Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
Ability to work cooperatively with other members of CPS and hospital and pharmacy staff
