School/Department: RAD Radiology Summary Description: The Department of Radiology at the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University Irving Medical Center invites applications for a clinical faculty position as a multimodality radiologist to join a busy multi-specialty practice group in the Division of Emergency Radiology. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in neuroradiology and are adept at multiple modalities. The clinical schedule includes late afternoon, evening, weekend and overnight shifts, with ample non-clinical time to allow for sleep recovery and academic productivity. The radiology department is fully digital and equipment is state-of-the-art, including an ED-based GE Veo CT, ultrasound, DR units, and 1.5 and 3T MRI. Our Emergency Radiologists oversee all aspects of diagnostic imaging for emergency department patients. We have a very active training program with a group of 32 excellent residents who rotate through the Emergency Division. We value our excellent collaborations with Emergency Medicine, Surgery, the Trauma Service, and our other Radiology Department specialty sections. Responsibilities will include patient care, active participation in resident and fellowship education, and participation in clinical and/or basic research.
