Advertised Summary Job Description: Reporting to the Vice Chair of Clinical Operations and Director of Operations, the Data Analyst will be responsible developing analytic solutions and report writing regarding operational and financial metrics for the Department of Emergency Medicine. The Data Analyst will work with IT Management to develop and distribute department dashboards and with the Finance Manger to complete financial reporting transactions.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES - In collaboration with Senior Leadership, identify, develop, and track the Department's KPI and KOI - Report on variance monthly and prepare data to implement solutions - Remain abreast and updated of NYP and CUMC mandates, provide data and metrics to comply as needed - Works strategically to provide analysis of need for developing and expanding plans and programs - Develop dashboards to report KPI and KOI to varying audiences - Assist Finance Manager with accounts payable, reporting and reconciliation transactions - In collaboration with IT, establish and maintain data security levels and access to data - Provide support to end users - Serving as departmental liaison to Medical Center and University for related matters
General Minimum Qualifications: Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus three years of related experience.
Additional Specific Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Informatics or Business Administration
Advance knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database software; prior experience and knowledge of financial and operational performance indicators in healthcare.
Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills; a professional and positive can do attitude are a must. Adept at solving problems quickly, efficiently, and independently.
Must be able to communicate, both verbally and in writing, in a professional and succinct manner, and be open to feedback and collaboration.
