Health Programming Specialist – Community Health Impact Council – Orlando
AdventHealth Orlando seeks to hire a Health Programming Specialist who will embrace our mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ.
Located on a lush tropical campus, our flagship hospital, 1,107-bed AdventHealth Orlando, serves as the major tertiary facility for much of the Southeast, the Caribbean and South America. AdventHealth Orlando houses one of the largest Emergency Departments and largest cardiac catheterization labs in the country. We are already one of the busiest hospitals in the nation, providing service excellence to more than 32,000 inpatients and 125,000 outpatients each year.
Monday through Friday; 8a – 5p
Assists with Strategic Health Programs and Community Health Impact Council programs, databases, websites, and events. Communicates with high level board and executive leaders. Coordinates various event functions and occasionally works on department and administrative functions. Maintains various databases and records, and has reporting responsibility; may ensure compliance as appropriate. Processes Inter-Departmental Transfers (IDT), invoices, and other expenses, as required. Monitors a budget of several million dollars. Tracks and records community benefit activities and spending in community benefit tracking software and works with finance to ensure this data is accurate. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Knowledge of all Community Health Impact Council(CHIC) programs and other strategic health programs to assist in answering questions
Two years of office/secretarial and/or community coordination/event experience
Associate's degree in communication, business, health programming, or related field.
Some finance/budgeting experience (preferred)
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Required:

Performs a wide range of administrative functions which include arranging meeting rooms and catering, running errands, coordinating basic events, etc. Maintains files and databases for strategic health programs and the Community Health Impact Council. Creates/compiles/maintains various department reports, forms, spreadsheets, documents, etc., including IDTs, PAVs, expense reports, etc. Assists department management with budgetary oversight.
Manage various secretarial functions including correspondence and PowerPoint presentations. Responsible for meeting agenda/minutes and distribution. Assists with update and maintenance of department web site.
Orients approved CHIC projects on data reporting processes and ensures reporting deadlines are met. Keeps detailed records of data and budgetary items.
Coordinates various events and community programs with oversight from management. Coordinates various outreach strategies (attend fair health fairs and events to promote and represent our programs).
Activates various strategic health programs (for example: set up event registration, handle RSVPs, help prepare emails, respond to requests, set up and on-site event registration, post event measurements and follow up on various events).
Communicates directly with strategic health programing participants and Community Health Impact Council fund recipients and requestors and at times with organizational executives and members of the CHIC board.
Calls on external organizations to recruit participants and donated prizes for programs.
Responsible for some social media (writing blogs, taking photos and posting, engaging in conversations, and running analytics) in conjunction with the communications department.
With oversight from management, tracks and records community benefit activities and spending in community benefit tracking software (CBISA). Communicates with organizational leaders to collect information.
Works with finance to ensure this data is accurate and not double counted.
Attends meetings as requested.
