AdventHealth Orlando seeks to hire Program Liaison who will embrace our mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ.
Located on a lush tropical campus, our flagship hospital, 1,107-bed AdventHealth Orlando, serves as the major tertiary facility for much of the Southeast, the Caribbean and South America. AdventHealth Orlando houses one of the largest Emergency Departments and largest cardiac catheterization labs in the country. We are already one of the busiest hospitals in the nation, providing service excellence to more than 32,000 inpatients and 125,000 outpatients each year.
Monday – Thursday 8a – 5p; Friday 8a – 2:30p
The SHARES Program Liaison is responsible for implementing Program-related, key strategic initiatives and annual plan approved by the Board, as well as coordinating and ensuring trip participants' safety and host-country arrangements. Is the SHARES Liaison with U.S. and foreign governments for associated mission trips. The SHARES Program Liaison coordinates logistics for all trip volunteers, provides reports to the Board to facilitate their decision making. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Sensitivity to various cultures and ability to behave in a culturally appropriate manner
Bilingual in English and Spanish, with the ability to read, write and translate Program communications from one language to the other.
Ability to make multiple international trips per year at the direction of the SHARES Board.
Familiarity and ability to work with diverse medical communities and individuals. (Preferred)
Computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Raisers Edge, Internet searches and Email (Preferred)
Comfortable working in a faith-based institution. (Preferred)
Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, communications, philanthropy, business, foreign language(s), liberal arts, education, political or social sciences, healthcare-related field, or other related field, OR
Five years of work experience in travel, tours, education, public relations/communications, healthcare, fundraising, business, marketing, OR
Combination of above-defined experience and education (without degree requirement)
Experience working in a team environment
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Required:
Possesses all documents required for international travel, including passport

Implements Program-related, key strategic initiatives and logistics, and annual plan approved by the Board, as well as coordinates and ensures mission trip participants' safety and host-country arrangements. Is the SHARES Liaison, AdventHealth representative, and point of contact with foreign governments/host countries for associated mission trips. Liaisons with U.S. and foreign governments to ensure all travel and other documentation, clearances, etc., are pre-approved and obtained prior to mission trips, and works with U.S. and foreign governments during the mission trips for any matters requiring government intervention. Resolves trip complications and ensures the safety of SHARES trip participants.
Works with U.S. and foreign Customs' offices to ensure shipment/receipt of medical supplies/equipment necessary to the mission trips. May be responsible to order necessary supplies/equipment. May be responsible to ensure mission trip baggage meets airline guidelines.
Coordinates volunteer activities for mission trips and Program activities. Assists medical director in recruiting physicians, nurses, healthcare specialists, physical therapists, translators and trip facilitators to provide high-quality healthcare while on mission trips. Coordinates the SHARES relationships with the host country caregivers, local hospitals, host country Ministries of Health, and local Rotary clubs.
Coordinates new site development process with the SHARES Board for the Board's evaluation of potential partnerships, and prepares report for the SHARES Board.
Ensures that all financial logistics are within the approved SHARES Program budget, working closely with the Foundation's accounting department.
With the SHARES Board Chair, assists in planning Board meetings, developing annual Program plan to achieve SHARES key strategic initiatives, and evaluating results.
Collects and maintains data needed to measure Program outcomes, and presents to the SHARES Board for evaluation.
Collaborates, communicates and develops excellent working relationships with the SHARES Development Officer
