MUH has a 54-bed Emergency Department designated as a Level II trauma center (approximately 75,000 annual visits) and 72 ICU beds comprised of medical, surgical, cardiovascular, and neurosurgical patients.
Clinical duties for this specialist role will be with our well-established pharmacy services in the Emergency Department on the second shift at MUH. Current position is a 7-on-7-off position working 4pm to 2:30 am (70 hours per pay period). This position will be involved with precepting PharmD students and PGY1/PGY2 residents on rotation, undergraduate and graduate student teaching, and providing educational programs for patients and hospital staff (physicians, nurses, and pharmacy staff). This position could also serve as a preceptor for various ASHP accredited PGY1 or PGY2 resident programs (Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, and Internal Medicine) providing supervision, mentorship, and project guidance.

Must be eligible to become a registered pharmacist in the State of Tennessee with advanced degree (PharmD);
Required: ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency and PGY2 in Emergency Medicine or Critical Care.
Preferred: Board certified as BCPS or BCCCP within first year of practice.
Employer will assist with relocation costs.
