This role is a part of the Telepharmacy Shared Services team located at Adventist Health’s headquarters in Roseville, CA. This new department is designed to provide timely, accurate, and complete order verification by supporting all facilities across Adventist Health.

Adventist Health, TelePharmacy provides expanded coverage, improved patient safety and improved communication among patients, healthcare providers and pharmacists. Our Pharmacists are integral to care delivery in the acute, ambulatory and post-acute settings including key contributions such as just in time clinical interventions, medication safety, medication reconciliation, and population health management processes.

The Pharmacist Specialist provides leadership in medication-related patient care to achieve: drug use that is safe and effective; pharmaceutical care focused on achieving positive patient outcomes through cost effective drug therapy; promotion of pharmacy as an essential component of the healthcare team. Organizes and supervises the activities related to Health-System Pharmacy Services according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and state and federal laws utilizing substantial understanding of techniques, processes and procedures. Works in close conjunction with nursing and medical staff by acting as a resource person for various kinds of pharmaceutical data. Runs program(s) with moderate budget/impact.
Graduate of school of pharmacy: Required
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) s Degree: Preferred
Minimum Work Experience
Three years' technical experience: Preferred
Three years' hospital pharmacy experience in a direct patient care role with leadership duties: Preferred
Completion of accredited PGY1 and PGY2 residency program: Preferred
Registered Pharmacist licensure in state of practice: Required
Board Certification: Preferred
All licensures and certifications needed to fulfill the duties required of a Pharmacist at the state level: Required

Performs all functions and duties of a health-system Pharmacist in compliance with CA State Laws and Pharmacy Practice Standards.
