The Education Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating various aspects of the Residency Program within the Section of Emergency Medicine.
Organize resident orientation activities, ensure rules and regulations for ACGME and ABEM are followed.
Oversee the preparation and implementation of site visit.
Assist in the creation of affiliation agreements with outside rotations, and prepare didactic sessions and lectures.
Work in conjunction with the Program Director, program leadership, Section Chief and faculty to ensure proper completion of residency and section related activities.
This position also has significant interaction with both University and Hospital professional and support staff as well as outside individuals and organizations.
The diverse nature of our section and residency, requires sensitivity to many races, cultures and their traditions.

Proficiency with word processing applications, spreadsheets and databases required: specifically keeping track of various budget spreadsheets.
High attention to detail and the ability to perform multiple tasks, and excellent organizational skills required.
Independence in decision making and judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision and function both as a team member and be involved in program problem solving required.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or a minimum of three years of progressively responsible administrative experience required.
Bachelor's degree in business, accounting or related field preferred.
Residency training programs experience preferred, but not required.
