Critical Care Pharmacy, Infectious Diseases Pharmacy
Our residency programs are 12 month postgraduate, ASHP accredited programs that provide a structured, directed, and professional learning experience. The programs build on previous education and experience and is directed toward developing knowledge and skills in pharmacotherapy management. The PGY1 program structure offers a flexible schedule that allows for a focused approach if you have an interest in a certain area of practice. You will work closely with our preceptors and directors that will serve as mentors to coordinate practice, research activities, and monitor your progress.
Required rotations include internal medicine, critical care, and pediatrics. Elective rotations include but are not limited to, academia (optional teaching/learning certificate program), cardiology, pediatric heme/onc, bone marrow and solid organ transplant, nutrition support, poison control, and emergency medicine, among others.

The University of Mississippi Medical Center is a 725 bed hospital system in the Metro Jackson area. We are the only academic medical center in the state and have schools of medicine, nursing, pharmacy, dentistry, and other health-related sciences on our campus.
