SNCH's PGY-1 pharmacy practice residency is a 12 month program that offers residents the opportunity to develop their proficiencies beyond an entry-level of competency. Pharmacy residents will train and practice as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team in a variety of practice areas including but not limited to internal medicine, critical care, transitional care, emergency medicine, administration, infectious disease, and antimicrobial stewardship. Residents will also develop their skills in research, formal presentation, and preceptorship of pharmacy students with the option to obtain a teaching certificate from St. John's University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
Candidates must be a graduate of an ACPE accredited Doctor of Pharmacy Degree Program (or equivalent program). Additionally, candidates must be eligible for NY State licensure. Curriculum Vitae, Official Transcript, Three Letters of Recommendation, and Letter of Intent.
