The PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency program at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center is a 12 month program in candidate status for ASHP accreditation. Residents completing this program will be well equipped to provide quality medication-related care for patients with a wide range of conditions, be prepared for board certification, and be qualified to pursue PGY-2 training.

Carilion New River Valley Medical Center PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency Program participates in the ASHP-associated Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service (PhORCAS) for applications and the National Matching Service (NMS) for the residency matching process.
