The PGY1 pharmacy residency program consists of 12 months of general training and experience in the inpatient and ambulatory care settings. The resident will complete 50-51 weeks of scheduled learning experiences. The resident will complete a two-month orientation, 3 one-month core learning experiences (Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine), 3 longitudinal core learning experiences (Project, Pharmacy Practice, Leadership & Stewardship), 4 one-month electives (Infectious Disease, Cardiology, Critical Care II, Ambulatory Care - Oncology, Ambulatory Care - Family Medicine), and one longitudinal elective (Teaching & Learning Curriculum).
Pharmacy degree from ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy
State of Tennessee pharmacy licensure by September 1 of the residency year
