Shore Memorial Hospital (doing business as Shore Medical Center) provides med/surg, critical care, OB/GYN, pediatric and neonatal services. It operates several ambulatory care centers including a cancer center, infusion suite, and wound care center. Specialty areas include orthopedic and spine surgery, oncology, certified stroke center and hybrid pediatric/ER services.
Shore Medical Center is located at the shore in Southern New Jersey. It is affiliated with Penn and St. Christopher's Hospital. Clinical pharmacists are located in the ICU, Cancer Center, and ED. In addition, there is a full-time IT pharmacist, full time Antimicrobial Stewardship pharmacist, and a pharmacist decentralized to med/surg areas. Pharmacy students complete introductory and advanced clinical rotations from several local schools of pharmacy. Medication management is highly protocol-driven with oversight by pharmacy.
Rotations include: ED, Oncology, IT/informatics, Internal Medicine, Ambulatory Care, Intensive Care, Infectious Disease/Antimicrobial Stewardship
Residents will have the opportunity to earn a teaching certificate, precept, and participate in regional and national meetings.
