Sonoma Marin Veterinary Service is looking to hire an additional associate equine veterinarian to work in the beautiful North Bay region. We service a diverse horse population including both highly competitive English and western sport horses as well as pleasure, trail and working horses. Our practice is busy and vibrant, offering the opportunity to pursue high end medicine with a full complement of advanced equipment. Our client base is eager to take advantage of modern diagnostic and treatment options and they are a joy to work with.
On call duties are shared evenly by owners and associates so that you will be able achieve and maintain a positive work life balance. We believe in supportive mentoring and collaboration so that we all can continue to grow as veterinarians. Continuing education opportunities are encouraged and fully financially supported by the practice.
Full time associate equine veterinarian. This position is greater than 90% equine with some cattle and small ruminant emergencies making up the balance. On call duties are shared equally by practice owners and associate vets. On call schedule will be 1 weekend per month and one weekday night per week. Holiday on call rotates through all veterinarians.
Additional Salary Information: Base is very competitive and will vary with experience

About Sonoma Marin Veterinary Service
We are a four veterinarian large animal practice in Petaluma, California. We are in the North Bay region, 40 miles north of San Francisco, a few miles from the ocean, wine country, the redwoods and so much else that this beautiful area has to offer. We are about 70% equine with the remainder being largely cattle but also a few small ruminants. Our practice is entirely ambulatory. We service a diverse horse population with a wonderful client base willing to go all out for their animals. We have the opportunity to practice great medicine, both sports and general. We have all the tools for advanced equine practice including recently upgraded digital radiography units, digital ultrasound, a 3 m endoscope, Neovet 2.0 shockwave and a ProStride system.
