Opened in 1828, SSM Health DePaul Hospital - St. Louis was the first hospital west of the Mississippi River. DePaul Hospital serves patients across the St. Louis metropolitan area with a level II trauma center, focus in neurology, cardiology, orthopedics, and psychiatric care. Pharmacists at DePaul practice throughout the hospital including ER, OR, all acute inpatient areas, and two outpatient clinics.
Pharmacy Residency Program Description
DePaul Hospital is a part of SSM Health which operates five PGY-1 sites at hospitals in St. Louis. The newly established program at DePaul is in pre-candidate status. Residents will grow their pharmacy knowledge through the depth of pharmacy clinical services offered by SSM and DePaul Hospital

Certification and Teaching Opportunities
Resident Education Academy—granting teaching certificate through St. Louis College of Pharmacy
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Precepting of APPE pharmacy students on advanced learning experiences
Every 3rd weekend
Holidays: Thanksgiving or Christmas and Memorial Day or Labor Day

Graduate of an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy
