This position is at Mayo Clinic Rochester, MN hospitals. PGY-2 residency or PGY-1 residency with previous hospital experience preferred. Patient care specialty practice areas include surgery specialties, internal medicine, cardiology, neurology and psychiatry, emergency medicine, critical care, transplant, pediatrics, and cardiac surgery/advanced heart failure with mechanical device implant. Responsibilities include drug therapy and disease monitoring, rounding with multidisciplinary teams, medication order review and verification, precepting and teaching activities, medication reconciliation, anticoagulation management, pharmacokinetic antimicrobial management, collaborative practice agreement and various other clinical activities depending on practice area.
This position rotates every 3rd weekend and covers 2 holidays per year. Salary is based on experience and training. Opportunity for academic appointment at hiring and associate appointment after 5 years of employment.
