Edinburg Regional Medical Center (ERMC)Â and Edinburg Children's HospitalÂ in Edinburg, TexasÂ are acute care hospitals constantly evolving to meet a growing regions need for quality healthcare by combining advanced technologies with concern for patient care and comfort.Â Â ERMC is aÂ four-story patient tower licensed to operate 127 beds on floors designated for medical, telemetry and surgery. The hospital is fully equipped and technologically advanced yet small enough to give individual attention.Â The facility provides a CAP Certified Laboratory an Accredited Chest Pain Center and is a Level IV Trauma Designation.Â Edinburg Children's Hospital is a 107-bed, freestanding pediatric hospital opened adjacent to ERMC in March 2006. The first of its kind in South Texas, Edinburg Children's Hospital features a four-story pediatric tower, a dedicated pediatric emergency department, specialty pediatric services and advanced technology, including the Valleys first 32-slice CT and radioflouroscopy room. To increase capabilities, some resources are shared between Edinburg Children's Hospital and Edinburg Regional Medical Center. Two of the five operating suites atÂ Edinburg Regional Medical CenterÂ are dedicated to pediatric surgery for Edinburg Children's Hospital.
The COO provides day to day operations of the hospital. Implements strategy of CEO and Corporation. Manages hospital departments efficiently and effectively to maximize quality of services and profits of the hospital.

Directs effective quality operations to maximize return on investment and community reputation. Increases revenues and income before inter-company allocations, maintains or decreases the effective bad debt rate, achieves the margin percentage, and implements operating cost controls in the areas of staffing, supplies, purchased services, etc.
Develops and provides quality programs and service to the community. Manages and implements programs to ensure all employees are committed to quality and service.
Manages and develops employees. Through appropriate management practices, creates a hospital climate to motivate employees to highest performance. Establishes direction, coaches employees, provides feedback, and builds commitment.
