Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution dedicated to education, research, healthcare, and service seeks applicants for two (2) tenure-track positions in the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics.
The Department seeks individuals who will contribute positively to the Department, College, University, and Saint Louis through their vision, passion for the profession, and ability to develop partnerships. The University is uniquely positioned to expand its research footprint surrounding a variety of topics with connections to food, the environment and healthy living. Given the rich agricultural and healthcare connections of the region paired with the unique nutrition and culinary synergies of the department, a multitude of opportunities are available for exploration.
The successful candidate will be required to conduct research; secure external research grants/contracts; provide research opportunities and guide graduate students' research; teach in an area of expertise and participate in Department, College, and/or University service as well as professional development activities. The tenure track, 9-month appointment has an anticipated start date of August 19, 2019. A competitive total compensation package, including applicable start-up funds, tuition remission for qualified personnel, and a generous retirement plan will be provided. Rank and salary are dependent on qualifications and experience.

Preferred oPostdoctoral fellowship training oEstablished or emerging national reputation in food technology, product development and/or sensory evaluation, clinical nutrition research, nutritional biochemistry, or nutritional aspects of exercise oA record of successful external grant funding oRegistered dietitian credential and licensure (RD, LD) oCertified Food Scientist (CFS)
Department of Nutrition and Dietetics The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics is housed in the Doisy College of Health Sciences on the University's urban medical center campus. It has accredited undergraduate and graduate (MS/Dietetic Internship) degree programs in dietetics, and a certificate program. Optional tracks are available within the degree programs, including culinary arts, pre-medicine or pre-physician assistant training, at the undergraduate level and medical nutrition therapy, public health nutrition, nutrition and physical performance, and pediatric nutrition at the graduate level. The department currently employs 10 full-time faculty members.
