This position is responsible for coordinating client needs with building staff to proper setup and smooth operation of events.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Point of contact for all meetings, conferences, and special events ensuring requirements are met and service expectations are exceeded, including event & room layout, timeline, event personnel and special requests.
Facilitate and execute license rental agreements, deposit collection and event settlements.
Ascertain client requirements for physical setup, security, ticketing, etc. to ensure the event runs as requested.
Initiate and distribute required paperwork to communicate client requirements to appropriate facility departments.
Oversees Set Up Staff, outside contractors, third-party vendors, concessionaires, etc. during events to ensure that requirements are fully addressed and executed.
Collaborate with Director of Event Services identifying event goals, including service and financial goals, communicating ongoing opportunities and challenges Manage events and performances as facility Manager on Duty, with other members of the management team.
Assist in the inventory, order and maintenance of Event Services equipment. Ensure facility rules, regulations, policies and procedures are enforced.
Supervise Event Services Staff, to include event supervisors, ushers, ticker takers, door guards, security personnel, police officers, fire inspectors, EMTs, and those working in the Security Office at events in all facilities.
Understands importance of maintaining spirit of accessibility with clients, executive management team, and event staff through use of cell phone and email communication, potentially outside of office hours or event schedule days.
Anticipate problems and appropriate solutions, Investigates, analyzes, and resolves operational problems and complaints.
Demonstrate effectiveness in motivation, appreciation and feedback with event staff.
Responds appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues.
Observe and report facility repairs, maintenance, and safety issues as necessary.
Maintain safe, secure, and sanitary working conditions and leave work area in a clean and orderly fashion.
Abides by all MMG policies in the Human Resources Policies and Procedures Manual.

Operate standard office equipment and personal computer(s) using Microsoft Office
Working Conditions: Requires ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal business hours. Physical requirements include feel and reach with hands and arms, walking, stooping, lifting up to 50 lbs. and standing for extended periods of time. Position often exposed to adverse conditions such as fumes, wet floors, dust and noise.
