Works under the supervision of the Manager or the Person-in-Charge. Working in a team environment, oversees the function of the general service employees and checker position. Assigns employees to work stations as necessary. Works as a communication liaison between customers and HUDS' Managers. Monitors serving lines during meals to ensure proper equipment and utensils are provided for each meal and menued items are properly labeled. May be responsible for opening and closing of dish room as well as entire facility. Resolves minor problems and if necessary refers situation to a manager. Responsible for the oversight of maintaining the cleanliness of serving lines and dining room. Ensure temperatures of foods are taken and logged accurately. May be responsible for drop-off of catering services ranging from casual to formal functions. Ensures cash handling meets HUDS standards. Performs other duties as assigned.

Must be able lift 50 lbs. without restrictions. Frequent overhead lifting of 40 pounds required.
Continuous: Standing, walking, lifting, reaching, handling, bending, and manual dexterity.

High School Diploma or equivalent. Must have proficiency with the English language (speaking, reading and writing). Minimum of two years supervisory experience in commercial food service or hospitality industry.Must possess basic computer skills and have the ability to learn various business applications. Must have basic math skills and ability to perform basic financial tasks. This includes, but is not limited to cash handling, analyzing digital and analog thermometers and other measuring devices. Must have proficiency with kitchen tools and equipment without restrictions.
Must be able to follow directions. Must be neat in appearance and comply with proper dress code as designated by HUDS. Must be knowledgeable of food allergies and intolerances. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Must have excellent communications skills. Must be able to work cooperatively and respectfully with a diverse set of staff, management and guests. Must have strong multi-tasking skills. Must be able to work in a fast-paced diverse environment.Must be customer service oriented.Supervisory experience preferred. Previous experience working in a University environment preferred.
