St. Mary’s is a community, teaching hospital with physician teaching programs in internal medicine, family medicine, and OB-GYN. The hospital offers a wide variety of services including, acute care, cardiology, orthopedics, oncology, hemodialysis, obstetrics, gynecology, psychiatry, an IV infusion center, and an indigent clinic. The hospital also has a level 3 neonatal intensive care unit, and is a part of the SSM Glennon Care for Kids.
PGY1 Pharmacy Program Overview
This residency program focuses on developing the resident's clinical knowledge through exposure to a variety of practice settings. The resident will also gain exposure to Pyxis technology, committee initiatives and gain expertise in educating patients, health care professionals, and the community on drug related topics. The program includes participation in a formal teaching certificate program.
Required clinical rotations include:
Ambulatory Care experiences in both our Internal Medicine Clinic and Coumadin Clinic
There are a variety of elective rotations which include (but are not limited to):
Advanced experiences in any of the required experiences
