PeaceHealth is seeking a Pharmacist for a 1.0 full time equivalent Exempt position. This position will be working Day shift with shift durations of 8 Hours .

Under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy Services, this position is responsible managing the pharmacotherapy of complex patients.
Provide consultative services to medical, nursing, and pharmacy staff as well as to patients.
Ensure appropriate drug therapy for patients cared for.
Implement and monitor clinical protocols and guidelines and enhancing the delivery of evidence-based medicine.
Provide drug-therapy related education and training to team members and/or patients.
Serve on/provides consultation to hospital and/or clinic committees as requested/is appropriate.
Collaborate on research initiatives.
Document clinical activities and outcomes.
Provides prescribed medications and compounds according to professional standards and practices.
Participate in quality initiatives to enhance pharmaceutical care.
Detects, monitors and reports adverse drug events and medication errors
Oversees orientation, training and mentors pharmacy students, pharmacy practice residents, and pharmacy technicians
May participate as a responding member of an Emergency Response/Code Blue Team
Performs other duties as assigned.
Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Pharmacy with a Bachelors of Science in Pharmacy. Pharm.D or BSc Pharmacy with BCPS and successful completion of an applicable accredited clinical residency or fellowship preferred.
Minimum of three years of advanced pharmacotherapy specialist practice in a clinical pharmacy setting with primary focus on direct patient care, medication management, consulting and teaching preferred. Comprehensive knowledge of evidence-based clinical pharmacy practice in intended area(s) of specialty, including related equipment, techniques, practices and procedures.
Minimum of one year experience required.
Current licensed registered Pharmacist/Clinical Pharmacist in the state in which you will be working
BCPS or other specialty practice certification preferred.
Licensed as a pharmacy preceptor by the state
Proficient use of computers including MS Office applications. Experience with computerized pharmacy systems.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Excellent presentation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with other healthcare professionals, practitioners, patients and families
Ability to effectively support, coach, educate, mentor and lead staff
Strong leadership and organizational skills
PHMG Physical / Cognitive Requirements:
Work requires fairly light physical exertion up to 33% of the time.
Ability to lift objects weighing 30 lbs. or less.
Work is performed under normal working conditions with adequate lighting and ventilation. Reasonably anticipated exposure to blood and body fluids.
Duties require the ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail (more than 65% of work time).
