Our progressive AAHA accredited small animal practice is searching for a fifth doctor to join our team. Our reputation for high quality care and medicine is well known and we pride ourselves on having the best technology, equipment, and staff in the area to serve our clients. We are the only hospital in the area staffed 24 hours a day and we therefore see a large number of emergencies from other veterinary clinics as well as our own. Ultrasound, fracture repair, TPLO cruciate ligament repair are just a few of the advanced procedures offered here.
Our client centered hospital is committed to promoting responsible preventive care to our clients and patients. Prevention is the key with a focus during wellness exams on routine wellness bloodwork and thorough physical exams to help catch diseases early. Our new associate needs to possess an outgoing friendly personality with exceptional communication skills as we value the client relationship and the lifelong bond that forms between the veterinarian, the client and the patient. The clinic is embarking on Fear Free Certification-our mission is to create a calm relaxing environment for all of our patients further enhancing that bond.
We are located in a town of approximately 20000 people in Central Vermont with access to an unlimited supply of outdoor activities. Killington, one of the largest ski areas in the East, is just 15 minutes away and in a typical winter boasts skiing from October until April. In the summer numerous outdoor activities abound including hiking, golfing, mountain biking, and kayaking to name a few.
The position includes a generous salary the first year with a switch over to a pro-sal income the following year. Other benefits include health care, liability insurance, AVMA/AAHA/VVMA dues, generous CE allowance, paid time off, and 401K matching program. The new associate would be empowered to develop a specialty within the practice to help develop a niche that they may be interested in.
