The clinical administration staff provides courteous, professional and effective support services and is committed to providing patient, student, and faculty with information, guidance, and quality service to contribute to a successful dental clinic experience. This includes maintaining a safe environment, assuring that patients' dental needs are addressed in a caring, confidential, timely, and thorough manner that patients are informed about their treatment and clinic procedures, and those patients' finances are handled accurately and efficiently.
The Emergency Registration Coordinator is responsible for the daily operations of the emergency clinic. This includes, but is not limited to, patient registration and scheduling of all emergency appointments, clinic inventory, patient account management, and other administrative works. The individual is responsible for scheduling, patient registration and that the treatment and services are entered into the system in a timely manner, while ensuring accuracy for compliance and billing. The individual will have significant interaction with patients, faculty, staff, and residents to ensure the accurate treatment is entered in the system. The individual will provide ongoing support to students, staff, faculty, and residents. This position collaborates with the Practice Administrator, Practice Manager, the Clinic Business Office, and with post graduate departments to enhance overall production, patient experience, chair utilization, and revenue collection. This position works closely with the Assistant Professor of Emergency Dental Medicine to ensure smooth clinic operation.
Requires a High School degree/GED and 1-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Requires basic knowledge of dental and coding terminology.
Billing certifications, knowledge of electronic billing, dental assisting experience.
