Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Payroll Associate.
In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for functional My Time activities, such as any new or lingering issues from departments, functional testing on system changes, run system reports and work with MyTime teammates on new initiatives that may come from this reporting, suggest new reports that could be used. Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, as well as keeping policies and procedures for this area current. Additional responsibilities may include training, communications and handling of special projects for the Payroll Systems Manager.
Audit MyTime to ensure that procedures are being followed, including but not limited to Attestation, Missed Punches, and Excessive Overtime.
Ensures timely and accurate time files and payrolls are prepared and delivered for payroll processing.
Follows predefined strategy for auditing MyTime for employee and supervisor errors.
Investigate employee pay concerns, assist users with making payment adjustments as necessary. Respond to employee inquires using CRM case management system.
Proactively identifies process improvement opportunities and supports change.
Ensures compliance with internal controls requirements.
Troubleshoot field issues and find solutions to the issue, manage case volume through CRM.
Identify and assist in the implementation of process improvements. Build in controls so that these issues dont re-occur.
Gather requirements for any system change and work with team to implement.
Keep leadership apprised of all problems.
Supports new associates that are part of this team.
Assists on special projects and initiatives as required
Prepares new metrics for Management review on a monthly basis.
Assist with special projects as required.
Promote staff development through demonstrating motivation, support to other personnel and providing an atmosphere of integrity and trust.
Assist the Payroll Systems Manager in monitoring, updating and enforcing Payroll policies and procedures within MyTime.
Efficiently organizes and manages his/her assigned tasks/projects.
Assists in fostering a partnership between Payroll and its customers to improve customer relations, service and process.
Communicates clearly and concisely with customers in a professional and timely manner.
Demonstrates creative thinking when seeking alternative solutions to process challenges and issues.
Respects and maintains confidentiality of all information within NYULMC.
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must should exhibit sound knowledge of the My Time/Kronos system. In addition, he/she should display a complete understanding of payroll. Knowledge of Nursing Payroll is also preferred. The My Time Payroll Associate should focus on developing a partnership between the field, the Finance Help Desk as well as the Finance Training team in order to improve the functionality of the system. The Payroll My Time Associate must have strong written and verbal communication skills and should proactively monitor customer satisfaction and the quality of the services provided. He/She should demonstrate skills to meet and exceed the needs of their customers.
Preferred Qualifications: FPC or CPP certification is preferred. The incumbent should have above average Excel and PowerPoint skills. The Associate should exhibit sound knowledge of Kronos. In addition, they should display a general understanding Payroll as well as Benefits and Human Resources. The employee should demonstrate skills to meet and exceed the needs of their customers. The Associate should focus on developing a partnership between Payroll and the NYUHC community in order to improve customer relations and service. The Associate must have strong written and verbal communication skills and should proactively monitor customer satisfaction and the quality of the services provided. This incumbent should be able to craft a grammatically and concise e-mail.
