The role holder will participate in the coordination of the review and challenge process of the firm-wide stress testing exercises, the management of the firm's Risk Identification and Assessment (RIA) process and the control of Strategic Risk. This role involves considerable coordination and liaison with teams across the Risk Division, as well as the CFO Division and relevant Business units.

As a Manager your main responsibilities will be
Participating in the review and challenge process of the firm-wide Stress testing exercises (i.e. ICAAP and BoE Stress testing). This review aims to ensure that the stress testing approaches, assumptions, results and management actions are coherent and appropriate to the stress scenarios; maintaining a repository of all key assumptions considered in the different stress tests.
Coordinating the local execution of the Group RIA exercise, liaising with the local teams and gathering and processing relevant inputs into the RIA system according to Group guidelines and timescales.
Reviewing and analysing the information required in terms of control environment questionnaires, risk metrics and top and emerging risks, contributing to the production of the RIA Risk Profile Report for Santander UK.
Responsible for the timely production of monthly Key Risk reporting and providing recommendations in terms of the overall integration with the Top Risks of the bank.
Contributing to the control of the firm's Strategic Risk. This involves the identification of the key risks in the firm's business plans as well as the risks of following the firm's strategy.
Minimum skills and experience required
In-depth understanding of risk management approaches, including risk measurement techniques and MI and reporting framework.
Proven experience of communicating and influencing internal and external stakeholders.
Broad and deep understanding of International Regulatory Capital Frameworks (Basel II, III, CRV IV, IFRS9, etc.).
Degree educated, or equivalent experience, in a financial or analytical discipline.
