Job Summary/Duties: Provide direct patient care services to medical inpatients at UC Medical Center, including overnight admissions and cross coverage of two 26-bed units. Physicians will be members of the Section of Hospital Medicine with an academic appointment, and will be welcome participants at administrative and educational meetings throughout the department.
Schedule: Clinical duties would be 7-on / 7-off. Shift length of 12 hours. 182 shifts per year.
Provide in-house, overnight cross coverage for approximately 50 patients admitted to the Hospital Medicine service
Admit and workup new medical patients from the Emergency Department
Provide general internal medicine consultative services for inpatients on the psychiatric units
