At Stony Brook Medicine, a CTS Cardiology Associate/Cardiovascular Technician is a valuable member of our team, who provides clinical services to our patient population. Duties of a CTS Cardiology Associate/Cardiovascular Technician in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab may include the following, but are not limited to: Utilization of sterile technique in procedural prep. Calibration and QA of monitoring patient during procedure. Monitor patient throughout procedure and analyze and record wave forms. Monitoring of equipment. Enter data into report. Assist with all emergencies. Perform all other related duties and responsibilities assigned. Participate in ongoing research protocols. Assist with medical billing and finance for the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. Assist with inventory management. Required Qualifications: BS degree in related clinical field. BLS certification. Preferred Qualifications: Surgical Scrub experience. ACLS certification. A minimum of 6 months of experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Lab as a Cardiovascular Tech (CVT). Special Note: Stony Brook Medicine is a smoke free environment. Smoking is strictly prohibited anywhere on campus, including parking lots and outdoor areas on the premises.
