Physician to provide urgent clinical care to Harvard University students, faculty, staff, dependents, and retirees. Will be an active participant in a team of physicians, nurse practitioners (NPs), nurses, health assistants, and will provide high quality, compassionate, and cost-effective care. The physician will be expected to conduct initial mental health assessments when necessary. Physician will be asked to participate in team meetings, lead or assist in a variety of Urgent Care projects and process improvement events, review laboratory and radiographic critical results, collaborate and assist NPs and nursing staff with patient care related issues. The physician will be expected to be involved in the teaching of medical students and residents, as needed.
This position is a one year term appointment. Overnight shifts for every other Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Holiday coverage is required with a minimum of two major Holidays per year depending on the needs of the department. Schedule: Friday 9pm - 8am, Saturday 8pm - 8am, and Sunday 8pm - 8am.

Graduate of a U.S. based residency program with current licensure in Massachusetts. Board certified in at least one of the following: Internal Medicine; Family Practice; combined Medicine-Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine. Current BLS/ACLS certification.
Flexibility, willingness to pick up extra shifts when needed, excellent interpersonal and communication skills. At least 3 years' experience as an Urgent Care physician, with emphasis on clinical skills an procedures, including but not limited to suturing, abscess incision and drainage, slit lamp utilization, wound care, splinting, stabilization and treatment of patients with emergent presentations such as chest pain, dyspnea, anaphylaxis, intoxication, head injuries, and mental health crises.
