The Facilities Director is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of the Notre Dame Academy campus, including facilities and grounds along with custodial services and security functions. Recognizing that the maintenance and upkeep of School facilities directly impacts the physical, educational, and financial foundation of the school organization, the Facilities Director is responsible for ensuring that a safe, clean, well-maintained environment conducive to learning is provided for our students.
Oversee the school’s security system.
Develop a maintenance and custodial plan for building.
Develop a short and long- term master plan for maintenance and capital improvements.
Help develop and manage an annual repairs and maintenance budget.
Oversee the maintenance of the building, grounds, and athletic facilities.
Oversee and manage contracts with custodial services, landscaping services, athletic facility services, and all other facility related contracts (air conditioning, heat, snow removal, etc.).
Coordinate plumbing and electrical services as needed.
Act as the IPM Coordinator (Integrated Pest Management).
Act as the AHERA Designated Person (Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act)
Maintain local and state inspections, certificates, permits, etc.
Perform maintenance repairs as well as custodial and security tasks as needed.
Oversee the preparation of the gym and fields for athletic competitions.
Coordinate the preparation of various areas for school functions.
Respond to emergency calls.

The academic building includes a chapel, auditorium, library, 23 classrooms, 2 art studios and a graphic arts computer lab, a choral room and a music lab, 2 computer labs, a guidance center, a Multi-Media Language Lab, a gymnasium, and a dining hall.
The building also offers 5 state-of-the art science labs and a greenhouse as well as a large and welcoming campus ministry center.
The 68-acre campus includes three athletic fields (one with astro-turf), an eight-lane track with Lynx timing technology, and five tennis courts.

Notre Dame Academy is a Catholic, college preparatory high school for young women sponsored by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. As such, it is a school grounded in gospel values and the charism of St. Julie Billiart. Founded in 1853 in Boston, the Academy relocated to a 68 acre campus in Hingham, Massachusetts in 1965. With a student population of nearly 600 in grades 7-12, the Academy serves families from Boston to Cape Cod.
