Nemours Children’s Health System is recruiting a dynamic board certified, or board eligible pediatric pulmonologist. This is a full time employed position based at a partner hospital in Lakeland, FL. The ideal candidate will have at least three years post fellowship experience. Applicants must possess or be eligible for Florida medical licensure. Call will be for pediatric pulmonology service only, with no adult call.
The Pediatric Pulmonology Division includes four pulmonologists, three nurse practitioners, five nurses, four respiratory therapists, a social worker, and dietitian. The Pulmonary Division has an active research and clinical program in cystic fibrosis, asthma, chronic lung disease, sleep medicine, medical education, neuromuscular, sickle cell, home ventilation, and bronchoscopy.
With 849 beds, Lakeland Regional is the fifth largest hospital in Florida, seeing over 200,000 ER visits and 43,000 admissions per year, over 2,100 trauma visits annually, and more than 3,000 deliveries.
The Carol Jenkins Barnett Pavilion for Women and Children is currently under construction for a 2018 summer opening. This $275 million project will have 300,000 square feet of stare-of-the-art inpatient and outpatient space including a 47-bed pediatric medical/surgical unit, a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, the area’s largest Level II NICU, and an expanded 22 bed Pediatric Emergency Department.
