The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university\u2019s missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service. This position is under the supervision of the Chair, Department of Emergency Medicine and Chief, Emergency Services.
The duties of this position are in support of the missions, goals and objectives of OHSU and the School of Medicine. Assisting with staffing the Emergency Department (including observation unit and Pediatric Emergency Services / Minor Care Clinic) and Portland Veteran\u2019s Affair Medical Center Emergency Care Unit as assigned by the Chair. These duties include: functioning as an (Emergency Medicine) observation unit attending; participation in education of medical and paramedic students, house staff and nurses; participating in Emergency Department quality assurance activities; and provision of on-line medical consultation.
