The College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a Regular,full-time Client Services Specialist I for its Hospital Operations' ClientServices unit.Under the general directionof the Client Services Manager, this position registers, admits, and dischargespatients from the hospital and collects deposits and payments for services.Position also reconciles daily account activity report with the daily receiptson hand and facilitates communication between clients and hospital personnel.
Knowledge, Skills,and Abilities:
Critical thinking and problem solving skills. Organizationaland multi-tasking skills. Ability to triage incoming cases and calls todetermine potential emergent cases and respond appropriately.Leadership and communication skills.Intermediate computer skills. Ability to communicate effectively with a diversepopulation and throughout all levels of the hospital.Ability to identify and anticipate needs of theclients and clinicians to ensure a high level of client care. Ability to workwith others in a respectful and cooperative manner. Ability to work understressful or demanding conditions. Ability to maintain professionalism. Problemresolution and negotiation skills. Ability to operate computer, fax machine,credit card terminals, and adding machine. Money handling skills. Exceptionalcustomer service skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to followinstructions and standard operating procedures. Ability to work with minimumsupervision.
