Advertised Summary Job Description: Reporting to Finance Manager, the Payroll Coordinator will be responsible for processing and reconciling payroll functions for the Department of Emergency Medicine.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES - In tandem with Faculty Leadership, reconcile provider shift scheduling systems, currently Intrigma and Tangiers - Process additional compensation, including merit payments - Review, process and reconcile bi-weekly payroll for Casuals, Variable Hour Officers and support staff - Process and reconcile bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll - In collaboration with the Finance Manager, manage all payroll distributions and suspense clearance - Track and submit Salary distribution/Cost Transfer requests - In collaboration Human Resources, process and submit LAFs - In collaboration with Finance Manager, track FTE counts across business lines - Prepare and maintain annual salary roster for the department - Collect and track of OOA time sheets - In collaboration with Director of Human Resources, prepare year end OOA accrual submissions and dispense updated fiscal year OOA trackers - Create and distribute annual faculty compensation letters - Work closely with Service Corp to manage and track charges and position control data - Assist Finance and Human Resources team as needed - Participate in RFP for unified provider scheduling software - Serve as departmental liaison to Medical Center and University for related matters
General Minimum Qualifications: Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus three years of related experience.
Additional Specific Minimum Qualifications: Advance knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database software; sound analytical ability, and demonstrated attention to detail.
Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills; a professional and positive can do attitude are a must. Adept at solving problems quickly, efficiently, and independently.
Must be able to communicate, both verbally and in writing, in a professional and succinct manner, and be open to feedback and collaboration.
