Veterinary Specialists & Emergency Services of Rochester, New York (VSES) is seeking a 9th full time emergency veterinarian. Six of our eight Emergency Veterinarians have over 10 years of experience at VSES. This tenure is a result of excellent teamwork and collaboration.
We are the only 24/7/365 emergency and specialty referral veterinary hospital in the greater Rochester, New York region. Our 28,000-square foot facility, is equipped with on-site 1.5 Tesla Siemens Avanto MRI, 16-slice helical CT, ultrasound, endoscopy, surgical facilities and a 7 day a week full-service diagnostic laboratory. As a member of the VSES family, you will be working alongside our diverse and talented team including board-certified specialists in internal medicine, surgery, neurology, and dermatology. Our Emergency service consists of eight attending clinicians, 6 rotating interns and outstanding registered veterinary technicians and assistants. Specialized interns in medicine and surgery as well as surgical residents are on call to provide additional support to the Emergency service as needed. We strive to provide exceptional quality of care and have the resources to make that a reality. To support our very busy practice, a Criticalist and a third internist will be joining the team in October 2018. VSES is also recruiting for a cardiologist, ophthalmologist, and a radiologist.

Requirements Applicants should have a desire for a collaborative approach to healthcare, strong communication skills, excellent work ethic, ability to serve as a mentor and coach to interns, and a dedication to lifelong learning. Candidates must have completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine or have prior emergency experience.
