Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Supervisor.
Responsible for supervising the Buildings and Grounds and Waste Management staff. Responsible for meeting with the contractor representatives to discuss and resolve cleaning and window cleaning issues. Supervises the setup and strike for School of Medicine events on and off campus. Provides departmental coverage during off hours.
Ensures the consistent delivery of cleaning and window cleaning services to the off campus buildings serviced. Meets with clients to coordinate special cleaning requests. Is conversant with and explains to customers the details of the cleaning process. Processes invoices and maintains department records.
Ensures that the cleaning and window cleaning specifications are current and relevant. Meets with the contractor representative on a daily basis to review and discuss cleaning and window cleaning performance.
Establishes work schedules for the Buildings and Grounds and Waste Handling personnel and monitors work performance. Defines the expected outcome and time of completion clearly. Communicates the objective of the assignment. Institutes appropriate follow-up to ensure that the desired outcome is reached.
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a A bachelors degree plus at least five years work experience with three in a supervisory capacity. Working knowledge of cleaning and maintenance requirements for hospital and biomedical research facilities. Strong verbal, written and organizational skills are necessary. Should have experience in personal computer use and database management.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
