Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Student Intern.
In this role, the successful candidate The Student Intern will provide support to the administrative staff of the Advanced Practice Nursing program. These delegated responsibilities may include answering phones, sending and receiving faxes, preparing patient education folders, as well as doing assembly of employee records, filing, and other tasks as assigned.
Provide support to the administrative staff of the Advanced Practice Nursing program and the Anticoagulation Clinic as assigned by the office manager.
Assist administrative staff during times of high call and work volume, including incremental break coverage
Copying, faxing, filling and document preparation as assigned.
Travel between different NYULMC locations to retrieve and deliver light supplies and/or documents as needed.
Demonstrates knowledge of the organizations Service Standards and incorporates them into the performance of duties.
Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Full-time student enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters degree program. Good communication skills; the ability quickly make interpersonal connections to patients and the ability to answer and direct phone calls in a warm, professional manner. Demonstrated customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications: The ability to prioritize work and function with minimal supervision. Proficiency with MS Word and Outlook. Basic knowledge of MS Excel and Access (for data entry only)
