The East Orlando Emergency Department has 80 treatment areas and sees over 104,000 patients each year, ranging from infants to geriatric. Our ED is also a clinical training environment for Nurses and Ancillary Support Personal. The Performance Improvement Project Manager is responsible for assisting with the analysis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of initiatives that promote processes that drive FH departmental operational and strategic goals. The Performance Improvement Project Manager assists the administrative team in identifying solutions in a timely manner and is actively involved in FH process redesign and re-engineering. This individual shall adhere to all Florida Hospital policies/procedures and rules/regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Actively participate in outstanding customer service and accept responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally that respectful to all.
Strong analytical, problem solving, and customer service skills.
Excellent written and verbal communicating skills.
Above average planning, management and organizational skills.
Extensive experience with MSOffice (especially MS Project) and other office automation tools.
Able to develop Business Model Calculations (ROI and EVA).
Ability to work on projects independently
Extensive knowledge of PI/business process redesigns concepts and tools.
Extensive knowledge of new trends in health care delivery and operational systems.
Bachelor's or Associate's degree in business, healthcare administration, or a clinical field, with equivalent work experience.
2- 4 years' experience in a clinical or clinical analytical role.
Experience defining project plans.
Four-year degree in business, healthcare administration, or related field, with clinical experience(Preferred)
Master's degree in business, healthcare administration or related field.(Preferred)
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Required:

Reports to the CNO or Clinical Improvement Manager as defined and assists campus administrative team in aligning campus goals with Florida Hospital system goals.
Responsible for the coordination of assigned activities as they relate to hospital strategic goals and scorecard performance. Goals are categorized in 5 elements:
TEAM – Engage and retain employees and physicians
SERVICE – Enrich our patient's experience
CLINICAL – Elevate our patient safety and clinical excellence
MARKET – Increase market share
FINANCE – Increase efficiency and meet EBDIT goal
Participates in hospital committees that align with strategic goals such as; project review committee and/or monthly score card reviews. Assists with the coordination of the Patient Safety and Quality Committee.
Facilitate variance reviews
Assists in action plan development
Develops audit tools, collects and analyzes data
Serves as the campus resource in leading performance improvement teams. Utilizes extensive working knowledge of functionality of information systems, web operations, databases, and desktop technology.
Collaborates with Patient Safety Officer and Conducts Global Trigger Tool chart review
Is a member of the campus regulatory Readiness team.
Conducts analysis and modification of projects to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and reliability of health care delivery processes/systems. Determines the most effective method for timely completion of projects.
Works well with people at all levels in the organization. Analyzes issues and effectively presents ideas and views to various audiences of all levels. Leads group efforts toward the resolution of complex problems in a professional, courteous, and impartial manner.
Transfers clients' perceptions of problems into viable PI solutions. Utilizes diplomacy and flexibility skills in response to clients' changing concerns.
