The Role of the Executive Director, Clinical Operations oversees clinical operations for the Student Health Program at the University of Southern California, including both the Engemann Student Health Center located at the University’s Park Campus and the Eric Cohen Student Health Center located at the Health and Science campus. The Executive Director Clinical Operations is responsible for overseeing the overall management of both student health facilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Collaboration with health information management, information technology, materials management, contact center, the student health insurance program, student affairs administrative staff and faculty leadership is required to ensure optimal delivery of services is required.
Will serve on various committees and leadership forums (as needed) to ensure consistency in experience, translation and sharing of best practice across the outpatient operation.
Responsible for monthly reporting of key performance indicators for the operation and will drive process improvement efforts in support of agreed upon measures of success including, but not limited to, access, patient satisfaction, efficiency.
Ability to anticipate the complex and ever-changing needs of students, and in conjunction with other USC Student Health Leadership the Executive Director Clinical Operations will lead coordinated efforts to improve the health of the student population through the delivery of clinical services as well as population level health initiatives
Establish the USC Student Health program as a national leader and innovator in college health
Will work closely with the Director, Student Medical Services, Student Health Administrative Director, Executive Director, Student Mental Health and the Chief Health Officer to provide the best care for the students at the University of Southern California.
7-10 years of progressive management operations experience
Possess sound knowledge of the health needs of undergraduate, professional and graduate students, along with strong clinical experience and demonstrated success in leading efforts for a large college health program
Experience with the delivery of both medical and mental health care and public health is strongly desired
Possessing a solid track record of management and leadership skills within a matrix organization and demonstrated success in the ability to create forward-thinking program
Thorough knowledge of management principles, clinical systems and operations, practice administration, billing and collections, regulatory/accreditation agency requirements, emergency preparedness, public health and quality assurance.
