Responsible for assisting with the needs of the customers and associates and proactively responding through the development and implementation of appropriate action directed by HR Director or Sr. HR Generalist. Assist in the implementation of efficient, effective and responsive employment plans and Human Resources processes, to include but not limited to recruitment and new hire orientation.
Minimum Education Requirements
High School diploma
Prefer Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business or other related degree
Minimum Experience Requirements
1 year Human Resources Generalist experience
Must have significant experience with database management, MS Exel, HRIS, and report writing.
Must be detailed oriented and have significant knowledge of HR analytics.
Baseline knowledge of governmental regulations and legal compliance regarding employment, compensation, and benefits.
Knowledge of development and implementation of training programs.
Demonstrates ability to plan, organize, develop and implement the program goals, objectives, and principles that are necessary for retention and recruitment strategies.
Ability to make independent decisions.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred
Position Duties (Essential Functions)
Acts as consultant to associates and managers in the interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
Advises managers in matters regarding the union and the collective bargaining agreement.
Provides guidance to managers in their handling of employee relations situations such as discipline/corrective actions, harassment, workplace violence, restructuring/reductions in force and termination.
Assists with internal investigations, to include harassment and discrimination situations.
Assists in employee corrective action counseling sessions and conflict resolution meetings.
Handles unemployment claims and along with manages, may serve as a company representative in unemployment hearings.
Tracks and monitors Leave of Absence and Referral bonus programs.
Assists in the preparation and participation in JCAHO surveys of hospital facility.
Backup for the Tuition Reimbursement process when necessary.
Effectively provides day to day Human Resources services to customer/associates and participate with SR Generalist in developing and implementing long term solutions to problems, needs and issues.
Able to maintain flexibility to pro-actively plan for shifting and changing organizational priorities.

Participates with, planning, coordinating and facilitating various educational training sessions and orientation sessions (i.e. New Hire Orientation, and Gallup Survey Training, various other project and duties as assigned)
