The Dir, Affiliation Model Practices, plans, organizes, directs and supervises all activities related to the outreach, onboarding, integration and ongoing management of the affiliation model practices. In conjunction with the Sr Director of Finance, will have profit and loss responsibility for the affiliation model operation including budgeting, productivity management for clinical staff and physicians, revenue cycle performance, non-salary expense control, cash control and identification of capital needs for the operation. Partners with the lead physician and practice manager at each of the practices to insure the successful integration with Inova systems and compliance with Inova HR, compliance, risk and coding polices and procedures. As a member of the IMG and SPN senior management teams, responsible for the growth of the affiliation model through strategically identifying, outreaching, and recruiting practices, assisting with due diligence, coordinating onboarding and integration, and managing all post-transaction activities. Maintains effective and responsive relationships with physicians, clinical and non-clinical staff. Responsible for direct reports and their professional development. Responsibilities:
Develop strategic plan to profile, identify and target practices based upon key attributes which align with system objectives.
Direct recruitment and negotiation with prospective practices.
Assist with due diligence, valuations and communication during recruitment and onboarding phases.
Collaborates with key leaders to identify new business opportunities.
Assess strategic fit of targets, with particular emphasis on identification of risks and opportunities.
Leverage technical, analytical, interpersonal and management skills to lead deal execution, including due diligence, valuation, communications, negotiation, integration, and post transaction considerations
Ensures that project status, issues and successes are communicated to project teams, stakeholders and all levels of management and documented appropriately.
Ensures that the policies and procedures comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Works collaboratively with legal counsel.
Facilitate cross functional teams made up of all project stakeholders i.e. finance, human resources, operations, legal, credentialing, IT, etc.
Formulate and refine strategic and tactical plans in support of the organization's service lines.
Builds trust by communicating and confronting conflicts honestly, directly quickly and constructively. In addition maintains regular communication.
Actively seeks out opportunities to share and receive best practice and process improvement initiatives with peers inside and outside of Inova.
Establishes, monitors, and manages standards for patient access including: (1) telephone, (2) new and established patient appointment, and (3) waiting room patient wait times to optimize throughput.
Works with practice managers to ensures practice space is used efficiently and is clean and functional, ensure that accurate and complete records of patient visits are maintained and that equipment is safe and in proper working order.
Works with practice managers to ensure completeness and accuracy of all front end revenue cycle functions including registration, referral/authorizations, collection at time of service, etc.
Tracks referral patterns, patient access, quality metric performance and utilization metrics of practices; reviews reports with practices on a regular basis; develops and monitors improvement plans as necessary.

Develops, monitors, and manages productivity standards that enable the operation to meet or exceed budget.
Ensures that site specific policies and procedures are in place to safeguard cash, checks, charges or other currency handled at the operation.
Ensures compliance with all Inova policies and procedures relating to HR, compliance, risk and coding.
Implement training and communications tools to assist the provider community in delivering high quality cost-effective care.
Serve as a resource for providers to answer questions, keep them informed about policies and procedures Maintain visibility in the Provider community.
Integrate into the clinical practices to understand their goals, issues, operations, organization and identify how to better leverage services and to understand the roles and responsibilities
Prepare and distribute informational materials and communications necessary for the development of provider relationships with our organization and collaborative partners, provide information update and facilitate the practice information process.
Provide constructive feedback for service improvements and develop corrective action plans.
Monitor EHR implementations for accuracy and timeliness and ensure that necessary tasks are planned and carried out to assure the focus on successfully achieving the practice goals and associated benefits.
Serve as an educational resource to practices about new and emerging technologies. Help them identify opportunities to apply technology to better support current and future business imperatives.
