The Department of Surgery is seeking a General Surgeon for a full-time academic position at the Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center, West Virginia University, Charleston Campus.
Provide teaching, patient care and research in the area of Brest surgery, to support the mission and goals of the Department of Surgery, WVU School of Medicine, West Virginia University Physicians of Charleston and CAMC Surgical residency Program. Serve as a member of the General Surgery Section providing breast services to patients at the CAMC Breast Center and patient admitted to CAMC.
Job duties include:
Serve as a resident and student advisor as assigned.
Provide emergency room coverage as determined by the Department of Surgery.
Perform out-patient breast services and Breast Surgery.
Participate in medical student and resident educational activities, clinical conferences, and curriculum development.
Participate in clinical research.
Participate on the resident advisory committee and resident selection committee.
