At Stony Brook Medicine, the Instructional Support Specialist in the Neuropsychology Service is responsible for clinical neuropsychological evaluations, consultations, supervision, and research utilizing standard neuropsychological procedures. Duties of a I nstructional Support Specialist in Neuropsychology may include the following but are not limited to:Duties of a I nstructional Support Specialist in Neuropsychology may include the following but are not limited to: Conduct psychological, neuropsychological, personality, and behavioral tests with pediatric and adult patients. Conduct clinical interviews with patients and families. Conduct interviews with other professionals involved with referred patients and families. Collate and compile relevant data as part of completion of neuropsychological assessment reports. Compose and edit neuropsychological evaluation reports. Participate in design, conduct, and presentation of research, both within the Neuropsychology Service and in collaboration with other professionals. Supervise trainees at the undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral levels. Collaborate with colleagues in the administration of the Neuropsychology Service.
Required Qualifications: Doctoral degree from an APA-accredited clinical psychology and/or clinical neuropsychology program with at least one year of supervised postdoctoral training in clinical neuropsychology in a Medical Center. Demonstrated competence, based on training background, in the administration, scoring, interpretation, and writing of neuropsychological assessments.
Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in Spanish. Experience with the clinical evaluation of autism spectrum disorders.
