This incumbent will be responsible for providing support to the research projects of the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine, with a core focus on projects generated out of the Pediatric Emergency Care Applied Research Network (PECARN).
The incumbent will assist registered nurses and investigators in identifying potential research subjects, reviewing medical records, collecting and processing urine, blood, and other specimens according to the methods defined in multiple research protocols and established standards and practices. The incumbent will be responsible for collecting, processing, and organizing research samples for storage and shipping; labeling and recording specimens; operating simple lab equipment, such as a centrifuge; delivering specimens to other departments and other duties directed by the division Clinical Research.
