Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Program Manager-Physical Therapy/Occupational Therapy/Sports Performance.
In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for the management and coordination of all practices for the PT/OT/SPC Department. This will include all compliance related issues, daily operations and related workflow projects to enhance clinical programs, development of new PT/OT/SPC programs and customer satisfaction. This position will also be working with PT and/or OT clinical specialists and clinical leadership (supervisors) to ensure appropriate levels of clinical development and productivity occur throughout the entire PT or OT department. Clinical direction will be supported by the Director of the PT/OT/SPC Department.

Demonstrates continued proficiency in skills required to treat assigned patient population.
Assists PT/OT/SPC Department in maintaining compliance in all regulatory requirements including JACHO and DOH.
Exhibits ancillary PT/OT/SPC Leadership in regards to other department initiatives including student program, department research and representation of necessary leadership in the absence of the Director.
Exhibits a high level of initiation in regards to program development and performance improvement projects for the PT/OT/SPC units.
Displays and exhibits appropriate levels of positive communication in regards to staff and colleagues in order to reinforce individual growth among staff and colleagues.
Regulatory Compliance/Quality Assurance Responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations for PT/OT/SPC services.
Staff Productivity/Operating Budget Assists in the control of PT/OT/SPC hospital costs by seeking the most effective and efficient mechanisms of performing functions. Monitors accuracy of charge entries and creates appropriate mechanisms for use of support staff for ancillary duties. Works with the Director regarding optimal staff utilization in conjunction with Hospital LPC processes.
Produces the necessary quantitative data i.e. volumes of visits, staff productivity, patient satisfaction and performs effective, objective and detailed analysis for effective use and decision making with the ability to summarize information into a tangible format to assist management team in decision making.
Develops and implements new policies and procedures related to compliance changes or organizational-program changes to support the areas of patient and staff satisfaction and annual outpatient revenue projections with ability to implement appropriate corrective action for non-compliance.
Manages PT/OT/SPC Clinical and Support Staff.
Orientates and participates in all staff clinical training in designated outpatient programs; performs activities with diligence and thoroughness in order to facilitate staff learning.
Plans, develops, organizes and monitors all outpatient PT/OT/SPC activities. Actively participates in personnel recommendations through active involvement in interviewing. Engages candidates in purposeful and valuable dialogue during interview process.
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Masters Degree in PT or OT with current New York State license, registration, or certificate appropriate to profession. Minimum of seven years experience in a rehabilitation setting, including a minimum of two years of supervisory or administrative experience. Strong background in Clinical program operations and program development. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills essential secondary to significant interactions with department administrators, physicians and clinical staff. Hold a specialty certification in area of expertise.
Required Licenses: PT or OT License-NYS
Preferred Qualifications: Membership in professional organization. Involvement in continuing education courses related to the delivery of service in PT/OT departments and issues of regulations. Maintain clinical excellence in preferred area. Advanced degree in a professional area.
