Community Hospital Manager - Emergency Department - Giles

This position will provide 24/7 responsibility for the Emergency Department that is located at Carilion Giles Community Hospital located in Pearisburg, VA.
This position will support Carilion’s hallmarks of service excellence and quality for all job responsibilities. Will provide a positive, rewarding and service-oriented work environment which supports high-quality patient-centered care, an exceedingly competent and engaged staff and the achievement of fiscal, scorecard and process improvement goals and objectives. Will be responsible for daily operations in area of responsibility. Will monitor and implement new health care services and performance improvement initiatives.

Experience: At least 3 years supervisory experience, ER hospital setting preferred. Emergency Department experience recommended. Must hold a current nursing license. Should have current understanding of accreditation requirements for the Emergency Department. Possess excellent communication skills.
Licensure/Certification: RN licensure with BLS, ACLS, and PALS required.
Other: Demonstrated excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, communication, team leadership, priority setting, organizational and work competency skills.
