Responsible for providing expeditious and appropriate responses to alarms, emergency, and non-emergency conditions at all times. Monitors surveillance cameras for facility and birthplace. Responsible for monitoring all life safety and medical alarms; maintains logs and reports used to record pertinent information related to all situations. Operates personal computer and associated hardware/software; performs data entry and retrieval of information retained in computerized databases; operates a switchboard console, pagers and various communications equipment. Applicants must be prepared to work changing workloads and/or rotating shifts. Versatile as a transport dispatcher as necessary, handling answering service calls, and routing appropriately.

One Year Customer Service, preferred
Position Duties (essential functions denoted with an * )
Operate centralized telephone and paging systems
Answer incoming calls and determine proper routing of calls
Monitor Security, Fire Alarm, and determine proper routing of urgent and non-urgent notifications to include
monitoring all incoming alarms but not limited to security, panic, fire/smoke, temperature alarms.
Develop and maintain communications log and reports, which include Information from callers, dispatch records, status of page communications
Respond to inquiries from customers and staff regarding services, capabilities, responsibilities and general information
Refer callers to appropriate sources
Operate computer terminals and perform data entry. Etc. in computerized and manual forms
Monitor surveillance cameras
Pager distribution and coordination
Retrieve information and perform inquiries of information in computerized databases
Develop and maintain information references, directories, and reports
Birthplace access for entering or exiting
Provide customer service for answering services covered by PBX
Perform transport dispatching
Manage patient phone distribution
Provides cyracom interpreter services and helps with Martti interpreter services
Practices confidentiality of all information (HIPAA)
Activates Hospital Emergency codes according to current procedures.
Issues emergency telephone/communication during emergency activations.
