Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Program Manager.
In this role, the successful candidate Under direction of Director of Operations, this position will be responsible for coordinating patient outcomes, safety and quality data for dissemination to clinical and operational groups. The Outcomes Program Manager will reconcile this outcomes information with what is required from CMS, CARF and other applicable regulatory agencies. In addition, the Program Manager will manage or provide guidance to any performance improvement project within Rusk.
Develops report metrics and targets to comply with new or modified CARF requirements or Rehabilitation Medicine Department needs for timely and comprehensive outcome measurements. Regularly, and on a timely basis, submits updates for long and short term planning to Administration and the Department Chair. Prepares and distributes statistical reports on the analysis of outcome data. Participates in Hospital Center marketing committees and activities as these relate to program evaluation and case mix outcomes and results.
Organizes and conducts in-service sessions to introduce new charting and data submission methods to physicians, management, professional staff. Establishes programs for orientation of new employees to program evaluation, outcomes management, FIM entry and case mix management procedures. Establishes systems for thorough documentation and timely communication of procedure changes. Maintains awareness of pre- established deadlines and takes appropriate action to meet approved timeframes. Assess system effectiveness regularly; develops and recommends modifications as needed to enhance such effectiveness by utilizing research design and models as appropriate. Interfaces with EHR and other platforms to maintain and manage clinical data.
Facilitates assessment of Rusk patients progress toward rehabilitation goals. Responsible for the reporting of metrics, identification of trends, and devising action plans with site leadership. Assists and facilitates each rehabilitation departments development and maintenance of targeted goals for evaluation of program outcome and case mix assessments, including design and preparation of appropriate quality assessment and performance improvement reviews.
Develops/utilizes effective and appropriate data analysis methods. Analyzes data accurately and appropriately. Interprets analyses, identifies significant trends, and recommends research and quality assessment and performance improvement studies as appropriate. Assembles component analyses into comprehensive and timely reports as required by regulatory agencies and Rusk Administration; reports contain statistical and graphic presentations of the data. Provides operational and qualitative reports, on a timely basis, to professional and managerial committees within Rusk and the Hospitals Center. Prepares adequately for and represents the Hospital Center effectively during periodic CARF inspections. Maintains up-to-date files on all documents and reports.
Collaborates with all Rusk sites with projects related to management of Rusk operations.
Manages outcomes related projects which includes facilitating data gathering, attaining key milestones, and ensuring appropriate resource usage for reporting and compliance needs.
Assist with other projects as needed.
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Min requirements: Masters degree in a healthcare related field plus minimum of 3-5 years of extensive experience in a rehabilitation setting. Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work with all levels of management across all functional areas.
