This role is the administrative leader providing strategic direction, daily operational oversight, implementation, and overall fiscal management of Perioperative Services. Responsibilities include direct oversight of the full continuum of Operating Room operations, PACU, Sterile Processing , Heart State, CV Lab and GI lab in order to coordinate, streamline, improve, and grow the overall service line. This includes internal and external collaboration with other departments and physicians to facilitate efficient and effective Perioperative Service operations. This role will have direct leadership accountabilities managing budgets, OR leadership and staff, physician relations within service line.
Bachelor's Degree Required, Masters Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration preferred

Minimum of 10 years in an expanded management role in a complex organization with demonstrated experience and ability in strategic planning and program growth/development.
Demonstrated achievement of positive results in a matrix environment and able to work effectively with a wide variety of individuals and practitioners
Highly organized; skilled in written and oral communication.
Expertise and understanding of healthcare operations and the various impacts of any given initiative
Current RN License (Compact license preferred) with no restrictions.

Designs overall outcome measurement system for Perioperative Service Line and reports results to various stakeholders as appropriate. Directly responsible for department managers and Nursing, for implementing processes which promote achievement of best quality results and the achievement of CMS and other indicators.
Promotes national program certification and adheres to certification guidelines where related.

Fosters relationships with constituents that are aligned with the strategic direction for the service line.
Works collaboratively with Physicians, Entity/Service Line leadership System-Wide, and staff to assure alignment of perioperative strategies
Serves as a representative to Centura forums related to surgical services.

Aligns all operational plans with national best practices, internal operating policies and other guidelines to assure efficient, compliant, and cost effective implementation.
Designs, develops and analyzes the financial performance metrics for the service line in coordination with Finance to enhance financial performance of the overall Service Line.
Develops and implements capital and operational budgets for all areas in the Service Line.

Creates and leads a strong operational multi-disciplinary team of nurses and/or other clinical and non-clinical staff and assures that the team creates and implements work plans which reflect strategic priorities.
Provides general oversight of the daily operations providing guidance to Physicians, Management, and staff when appropriate. Reviews and manages all disciplinary actions, hiring and firing or delegates to site manager.

Develops and maintains an up to date strategic plan for perioperative services.
Develops business plans, measures success through outcomes and
obtains approval for plans.
